Year : 2014
Director : Kat Chandler
Screenplay : Kat Chandler
Starring : Aaron Paul, Juliette Lewis, Josh Wiggins

Aaron Paul is obviously one of the big stars of the present day following Breaking Bad.

In this film he plays a different looking character (Hollis, big beard) but not a huge distance away from Jesse. He's still angry and fighting to come to terms with life.

He has two boys Josh and Wes, but although social services are sympathetic, he's permanently on the edge of losing them. He's an ex-sports star battling a drink problem, and has trouble keeping appointments.

The elder boy Josh, a budding motocrosser, is getting into trouble and blames his dad for walking out on them in the past. Young Wes is taken by sister-in-law Pam (Juliette Lewis) who is also sympathetic but cautious. It's a good part for Lewis and gets away from her usual scatty characters.

It's shot more as a series of scenes than a narrative but the picture builds up.

It holds the attention. I am perhaps being dumb but I didn't understand the ending.
