And adults too no doubt, attracted by Nick Park maybe and the string of star names voicing the characters. I can’t see the point when you can’t see them.
The story is a shambles, a football match between a great (but arrogant) team from the Bronze Age (Real Bronzio) and the cavemen, who have never played the game before (or have they… cave paintings suggest maybe they have).
It’s the old sporting story of the underdogs coming out on top. Needless to say, the best player amongst the cavemen is a female, a sledgehammer addition to the relentless spin that women’s football is high quality.
Clever animation needs a more involving story and better jokes if it is to hold the attention. Best thing about this was the 89 minute length.
